While attending a course at Ara’s Next Step Centre for Women, Mel Ngahooro discovered a passion for science. It sewed a seed that led her to study a degree in laboratory technology and embark on a career that she loves.
In India, Melissa Tresa was used to a highly theoretical approach to learning. Keen to gain practical science skills, she came to New Zealand and enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Laboratory Technology at Ara.
Noeleen McArdle used to be a science teacher, but after moving to New Zealand from Ireland she decided she wanted a more hands-on science role. She enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Laboratory Technology at Ara to get the applied science skills she needed for her new career.
